Part-Time Nanny - Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Fun, active family of 4 in Rancho Santa Fe seeks a loving, patient nanny for their 2 boys ages 3 and 6. Dad is an entrepreneur who works mostly from home and Mom is a therapist wanting to go back to work part time and have some more freedom in her days. Most of the time care would be for the 3 year old, with some after school care for the 6 year old. Their ideal nanny can balance having fun and connecting with the kids along with holding firm boundaries. They also describe their ideal nanny as proactive, calm, friendly, and engaging. Must be comfortable swimming with the boys as they have a pool in the backyard. Looking for a long term commitment.

Location:

Rancho Santa Fe, CA

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 20-25 hours per week, flexible to work out days and times with the right nanny

Must be willing to do one date night a week on Thursday or Friday

Rate:

$25-$30 per hour DOE, paid on payroll

Benefits:

Guaranteed hours, paid sick days, open to offering paid vacation and holidays

Children:

Boy, 3 - He is very active and energetic, always moving and playing. He loves Batman and Paw Patrol, loves to play outside and jump on the trampoline. He has some sensory processing issues so has speech therapy once a week and occupational therapy twice a week. He goes to half day preschool on Tuesday and Thursday.

Boy, 6 - He loves to draw and do arts and crafts, play at the park with his friends, and is very into Legos and Pokemon Cards. He is homeschooled and attends an in person enrichment program 4 days a week and does his learning at home 1 day a week. Homeschooling allows them a lot of flexibility so he can go to a lot of fun activities like skateboarding and drums.

Responsibilities:

Playing with the boys and engaging in their interests, helping them learn through play, preparing snacks and meals as needed, potentially transporting them home from school or to activities, taking them on fun outings. Keeping them safe and having fun! Cleaning up after yourself and the boys, keeping their rooms/play areas tidy. Willingness to help with dishes or other light housekeeping tasks as needed is appreciated. Please be willing to drive the kids in your own car when needed.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience with ages 3-6

Proactive, patient, calming presence

Able to make a long term commitment

Valid Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle for driving the kids

Infant/Child CPR Certified

Trustline Registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US

Bonus if you speak Spanish
