FAQs

How long does it take to find a nanny?

It can take anywhere from a week to several months to find the right nanny. This can depend on the qualifications you are looking for, if you require someone with a unique skillset, and if you are offering competitive pay and benefits. We recommend starting your search 2 months in advance of when you need your nanny to begin employment.

Why use an agency?

Finding the right caregiver for your kids can be overwhelming and very time consuming. While there are many sites where you can connect directly with nannies, it is a full time job just to sort through their profiles, not to mention messaging and screening them. We find the candidates for you so you only meet the best suited, thoroughly vetted nannies. We also offer support with negotiating your nanny’s salary, writing up an employment contract, information on nanny payroll and taxes, and any issues that might arise in the future - including if you need a replacement!

I am a nanny, why apply with an agency?

Searching for your next job can be stressful, and you want to end up with a great family that truly values you. We are not only vetting you for the families, but we are vetting the families for you. Once we know what kind of position you are looking for, we will search for the right job and set everything up for you. All you have to do is show up for your interviews and be yourself! We will coach you through interviews, negotiate your salary, write up an employment contract for you and the family, and support you through any issues that might arise in the future.

What salary and benefits should I expect to offer my nanny?

Our minimum salary requirement is $25 per hour. Please note that in the current market, nannies with more experience and specialized certifications will be $30-$40 per hour. The more experienced and highly skilled a nanny is, the higher their salary requirement will be. We recommend offering your nanny at least 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays, and 5 sick days. Some families also offer a health insurance stipend.

What if things don’t work out with the nanny I hire?

While our process is designed to find you the perfect fit, we understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and a nanny or family might need to end the relationship sooner than expected. Our replacement policy has you covered for these situations!

What locations do you serve?

All of our services can be done virtually and we are happy to help families and nannies located anywhere in the US.

What are your agency fees?

A $400 search deposit is required to begin the search for your caregiver. Upon hiring your caregiver, we charge a one-time placement fee calculated as a percentage of the nanny’s negotiated annual pay. Our standard fee is 15% for full-time and part-time nannies with a minimum of $2,500. Contact us for more information about temporary nannies or other unique situations. Should your caregiver need to be replaced within 6 months, we will find you new candidates at no additional cost!
