Part-Time Nanny - Oceanside, CA

Family of 4 is moving from the Bay Area to Oceanside and is in search of the perfect nanny for their sweet 7 month old boy! They have a preschool age daughter who will be in school/daycare so the nanny will be dedicated to the baby only. Their ideal situation is to transition to a nanny share down the road once they are here in San Diego and meet a compatible family, so the nanny must be open to caring for 2 kids in the future (with a pay increase to a nanny share rate of course). Baby boy is sleep trained and they follow baby led weaning for solids. Most important to them is a nanny who will love and care for him as if he was their own, someone who is warm and nurturing. Both parents work from home, but stay out of the nanny’s way and let them have full autonomy during the shift. Must be ok with dogs, bonus if you speak Spanish. This is a long term position.

Location:

Oceanside, CA

Schedule:

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8am - 5pm. Flexibility to work on Monday or Friday occasionally is preferred.

27 hours per week guaranteed.

Rate:

$25 per hour depending on experience. For a nanny share rate around $36 per hour.

Boy, 7 months. Second infant to be added in the future for nanny share.

Pets in the home:

1 large dog

Responsibilities:

All things infant care. Feeding bottles and solids, diapering, tummy time, developmental play and activities. Walks around the neighborhood or to a local park are ok, but no driving. Only household responsibilities are cleaning up after the baby and yourself such as doing dishes used for baby, cleaning the high chair, etc. Follow parents guidelines and expectations that are set. Loving and nurturing baby!

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

Previous experience caring for infants, ideally twin experience or nanny share experience

Knowledge of child development and milestones

Spanish speaking is a plus (must also speak fluent English)

Able to make a long term commitment, at least 1 year, ideally longer

Infant/Child CPR Certified
