Short Term Role, Live-In or Live-Out

Full-Time Nanny - La Jolla, CA

Fun and active family in La Jolla is in need of a short term, full time nanny to help care for their 3 kids (ages 8 years, 3 years, and 7 months). Dad is the founder of a company and Mom is a SAHM so you will work both alongside her and independently with the kids. Their current Au Pair will be leaving in April and they will have a gap in care until their next Au Pair arrives. They need care from April 16th - August 1st. Their ideal schedule is a split shift which is easier to do with a live-in nanny, but they are open to live-in or live-out and are also open to a more typical 8 hour shift (see schedule options below). Their ideal nanny is energetic and active, shares their lifestyle of healthy eating, is motivated and proactive. Other important qualities are being a safe driver and comfortable with direct communication. Dad is allergic to cats so ideally their nanny does not have a cat. Must be confident and comfortable caring for all 3 kids on occasion, but usually you will either have the just the 2 older kids or just the baby.

Location:

La Jolla, CA

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, ideally a split shift from 7am - 10/10:30am and 2:30-6:30pm. Open to hiring one nanny for mornings and one for afternoons.

Also open to a schedule of Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.

Rate:

$30 per hour

Benefits:

Paid sick days accrued as by law. Room and board included for a live-in nanny.

Responsibilities:

For the morning shift, help with getting the boys up, dressed, fed and off to school or camp. Mom typically drops them off and then goes to the gym so the nanny stays home with the baby for a few hours. In the afternoon, help with school or camp pick up, drive them to extracurricular activities, engage the kids at home in fun and educational activities. The family lives within walking distance to the beach so please be comfortable supervising kids at the beach. Nanny must be able to handle all 3 kids at once if Mom has an appointment or meeting. Most of the time you will trade off with Mom having 1 or 2 kids at a time or you and Mom will work together will all 3. Family provides a car for the nanny to drive while on the job, must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Keeping the kids rooms and play areas tidy and helping with kids laundry.

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience including experience with infants

Proactive, patient, active, and reliable

Prefer vaccinated for Covid and Flu

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Infant/Child CPR Certified

Trustline registered or willing to register

Able to work legally in the US
