Full-Time Infant Nanny, Carlsbad, CA

First time parents to a wonderful baby boy are seeking a full-time nanny to care for their son and help guide them through his stages of development. They have been working with an amazing doula since his birth and are ready to find an experienced, nurturing nanny to grow with them long term. Mom works from home and dad will be in the office 3-4 days a week and home the other days. As baby is still very young they are still figuring out their parenting philosophy, but they know they want to be present with him and provide a safe place for him to explore and learn natural consequences. Their ideal nanny will be a calm, patient, reassuring presence who is open minded to how they decide to parent. Bonus if you have units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or other degrees/certifications.

Location:

Bressi Ranch, Carlsbad, CA

Schedule and Hours:

Monday - Friday, open to 30-40 hours per week.

8am-4pm or 9am-4pm

Rate:

$30-$35 per hour DOE

Benefits:

PTO, sick days and holidays. Guaranteed hours. Overtime as applicable.

Baby boy born November 2023

Pets in the Home:

1 small dog. No care for the dog is required, bonus if you are willing to take the dog with you on stroller walks with baby.

Responsibilities:

All things related to care of baby! Feeding, tummy time, naps, going for walks, washing bottles, baby laundry. Engaging him in developmentally appropriate activities, reading to him, singing songs, etc. Light housekeeping such as loading/unloading the dishwasher and tidying while baby is napping are a plus. As he gets older taking him out to the park, classes, play dates, etc. Family is open to providing a car for the nanny to drive once driving is needed. Ideally they would like the nanny to travel with them a few times a year.

Requirements:

5+ years experience in childcare including experience with infants

Knowledge of child development and milestones

Infant/Child CPR certified

Driver’s license and clean driving record

Willing to travel with the family

Able to work legally in the US

Trustline registered or willing to register

Long term commitment

Bonus if you have additional certifications or a degree in a related field
